Mahatma Gandhi Higher Secondary School

Mahatma Gandhi Higher Secondary School is located in Ward No 4, Birgaon, which is right in the Raipur-Chhattisgarh area. Being in Birgaon, we deal with a lot of local families who have lived here for generations. The school building is a regular brick structure and it's seen its fair share of monsoon seasons. We have the usual classrooms you’d expect for a higher secondary setup. It’s not one of those fancy places with air conditioning in every room, but we have enough fans to keep the air moving during the hot months. Most of our day is spent making sure the students actually get to their classes on time and stay focused on their textbooks. We have a small office where we keep all the records and files, which are mostly on paper. The yard outside is a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up in Raipur, but the kids don't seem to mind it much when they’re out there. We’ve had a lot of different teachers come through these doors over the years. Some stay a long time and others move on. We don't have a lot of extra money for big renovations or flashy signs, so we just keep things functional. It's a busy place from morning until the final bell rings. We just try to get the work done and hope the kids learn enough to pass their exams.
