Holy Angels English Medium School

Being located in Durga Nagar, Birgoan, means we are right in the heart of a very busy part of Raipur. It’s a lot of narrow streets and houses all packed together. Our school is a big part of this community. Every morning the bells start ringing and you see kids walking through the lanes to get here. It’s an English medium school, so we spend a lot of time helping the students with their pronunciation and grammar. It isn’t always easy because most families speak Chhattisgarhi or Hindi at home. Our building has been through many rainy seasons, and you can see a bit of wear and tear on the walls here and there. We have a small yard where the kids stand for prayer before classes start. The teachers here are mostly locals who understand the struggles of the families in Birgoan. We don't have big fancy labs, but we have enough to show the students how things work in the real world. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, but we’re used to it by now. In the afternoons, when school lets out, the whole area gets crowded with cycles and parents. It’s a lively place, and things can get pretty hectic when we have a local festival or a sports day. We just try to keep things running smoothly and make sure everyone gets their lessons done before the day ends. It is honest work for everyone involved.
