N H Goel World School

Down here on Vidhan Sabha Road in Nardaha, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Raipur. N H Goel World School sits on a pretty big piece of land. I remember when this area was mostly just empty fields before all the construction started. Now we have the school buses rolling in every morning from all over the 493111 zip code. It's a long drive for some of the kids but they seem to like the space out here. The air feels a bit cleaner than in the city center. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance of the place because dust gets everywhere in Chhattisgarh. The hallways are wide and sometimes you can hear the echoes when the classes are in session. We have a few trees planted around the perimeter that are finally starting to provide some real shade. Usually, the office gets a bit hectic around ten in the morning with parents dropping off forgotten lunch boxes or checking on fees. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the usual desks and boards. Most of the teachers live nearby or take the staff van together. It’s a decent place to work and the kids keep us busy enough that the day goes by fast. Sometimes we have a small tea break in the staff room when the principal isn't looking too closely. It's just a regular school life.
