Lafarge

Being out here at the Sonadih Cement Plant near Baloda Bazar means we are right where the action is. This Lafarge location isn't a city office; it’s a plant site in Raseda, so things are a bit more rugged. You can expect a lot of dust and the constant hum of machinery in the background. We spend our days dealing with the actual production and logistics of cement. It's a long drive from Raipur sometimes, especially if the roads are under repair, but this is where the work happens. We don't have fancy carpets or quiet hallways. Instead, we have boots, safety gear, and a lot of movement. The office side of things handles the billing and the transport schedules, which is always a bit of a puzzle to solve. We deal with truck drivers, site managers, and the plant crew all day long. It gets loud and it gets busy, but that’s the nature of the job. Most of us have been at this site for years, so we know every corner of the facility. We eat our lunch together and talk about the day's goals. It’s not a corporate environment with a lot of rules about how to speak; it’s just a group of people making sure the plant runs like it should. We focus on the loads going out and the raw materials coming in. It’s plain, hard work, and that’s just how we like it out here.
