Lafarge India Pvt. Limited

This site is where the project engineer mech for the Sonadih Exp. Project is based. We are way out in P.O. Raseda, which is in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. It is a real industrial site, so there is always a lot of dust and noise around. We are part of Lafarge India Pvt. Limited and we are focused on the expansion project here. Being on-site means we don't have a polished office. It’s more about the machinery and the actual project work. The weather out here in Raipur can be really tough, especially the heat. We spend our time checking on the mechanical aspects of the expansion. It’s a lot of walking around and making sure things are where they should be. The Raseda area is pretty remote compared to the city, so we mostly just see other workers and the local villagers. We don't have any fancy meetings or anything like that. It’s just about getting the project done. Sometimes we stay late because there is always something that needs fixing or checking. It is hard work but it’s what we do. We aren't here to make things look pretty; we are here to build. The site is a busy place with trucks coming in and out all day long. We just handle the mechanical side of things and try to stay on schedule.
