Our spot is out at the Sonadih cement plant. It’s a bit of a trek from the main Raipur city, situated in the Rasedi post area. Most of the life here revolves around the plant itself. Our specific spot is Quarter Number C-30. It’s more of a residential setup where work and living sort of blend together. S/O Mr. P.K. Singh’s place is the reference point for us. The whole area is part of the Baloda Bazar district now, though the mail still says Raipur (C.G.) on most of the older forms. It is a quiet place when the machinery isn't humming. You see the same faces every day because we all live and work in the same colony. The air is often dusty, as you’d expect near a cement factory, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have our routine. Morning starts early because the plant never really stops. The quarters are standard, nothing special to look at, just concrete blocks that keep the rain out. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone needs us, they usually just knock on the door or find us near the site. It’s a very straightforward way of living.
