Swanandiniagro Women Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Panvel, specifically in the Sawala area of Raigad. You can find us at Adinath Shankar Dalav’s place. This company is a bit special because it focuses on the women farmers in our area. It’s not always easy for women to get the same support in this business, so we decided to start our own group to handle things. We aren't some big polished outfit. Our office is just a regular room where we meet and talk about the crops and the prices. Since we are near Panvel, things move a bit faster than in the deep countryside, but we still have the same old farming problems. We spend a lot of time helping each other out with the forms and the transport. Sometimes the kids are running around the office while we try to get the books balanced, but that’s just how life is for us. We don't use any corporate talk or try to sound like we are something we aren't. We are just a group of women from the Raigad area trying to make a living from the land. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we do it together. If you come by Sawala, you’ll see us working away, just trying to keep the business going for all the members.
