Yamai Agro Producer Company Limited

Starting out here in Karjat Rashin at Deshmukhwadi wasn't something we planned to be big. It’s mostly just us folks from the village trying to figure out how to handle the crops better. We spend most of our days out near 343 Deshmukhwadi, dealing with the sun and the dirt. Yamai Agro Producer Company Limited is basically a way for us to pool what we have so we aren’t just wandering around markets alone. Some days it is just hard work and not much else. We deal with whatever seeds are available and try to make the most of the rain when it actually shows up. It’s not fancy or anything. There’s no big office with air conditioning, just the space we have and the tractors. We talk about the weather a lot because that’s what runs our lives. Sometimes the crops are good, sometimes they aren't, but being together makes it a bit easier to handle the bad years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure our families get by and the land stays decent for the next lot of kids. You might see us around the area moving stuff or just sitting by the road talking shop. It's a simple life, really. We just wanted a name for what we were already doing as neighbors. That is how we ended up here. It works.
