Arunodayagro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Takkali. We use the place of Shri Patil Kiran Annasaheb as our base. This is in the Karjat area, within the Ahmednagar district. Takkali is a quiet spot where everyone is mostly involved in agriculture. We don't have a big corporate headquarters. We just meet up at Kiran’s place and talk about what the farmers in our group need. It’s very informal but we get things done. Most of the time we are talking about the soil or the latest prices for grain. The climate in Karjat can be dry, so we spend a lot of time thinking about water. We are just a bunch of people from the village trying to organize ourselves better. We don't have fancy brochures. If you want to know about us, you just come by and talk to us. We’ve known each other for years. It’s a producer company, so it’s all about the community here in Takkali. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, and we have to help each other out with the forms. It’s a slow process sometimes. We aren't looking to grow into some huge empire. We just want to make sure the farmers here get a fair deal. It’s hard work, but we are used to it. The address is just a home, not a store. We sit on the porch and discuss the next season. That's our board meeting. We just take it day by day.
