Jashoda Balisankara Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Kunjasthala Dhuruatumulia in Talsara. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but everyone around here knows where it is. We are a bunch of farmers who decided to team up. It makes things a bit easier when you’re not trying to do everything on your own. We spend most of our time looking at the fields and talking about what to plant next. The office is really just a central point for us to gather. It’s not very big, and it gets dusty when the wind blows through Talsara, but it serves its purpose. We deal with the usual stuff like fertilizers, seeds, and trying to get a fair deal when it's time to sell the produce. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather behaves. We aren't some big city firm. We're just local people who know the land. If you walk by, you might see us sitting around a table covered in notebooks and maps of the local plots. We try to help each other out with whatever equipment is available. It’s a simple way of working, but it’s honest. We don't have any big speeches or grand plans. We just want to keep the farms running and make sure the families here can keep doing what they’ve always done. It is hard work but we like it.
