Allarnath Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located over in Bentapur, in the Brahmagiri area, right at Dasarathi Pradhan’s house. Allarnath Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a bunch of us locals realized we could do more if we joined forces. It’s a real grassroots kind of thing. We spend our days dealing with the practical side of farming—looking at the crops, worrying about the irrigation, and trying to find the best way to get our produce out there. Brahmagiri is a place with a lot of history, and we feel a strong connection to the land here. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a room in the Pradhan house where we keep our papers and meet up to make decisions. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes the numbers don't add up like we want them to, but that’s just how it goes in agriculture. We aren't big city people with polished shoes; we’re usually a bit dusty from the fields. We take things one day at a time. If someone has a problem with their harvest, they come by and we talk it out. It’s about being part of the community and making sure the farmers here get a fair shake. We just want to keep the local tradition of farming alive while finding small ways to make it a bit easier for everyone involved.
