We are based in the Bedhas area of Puri, under the care of Dibakar Jena. The address is 752001, right here in Odisha. We named ourselves Bababhimeswar Farmers Producer Companylimited. It is a group of us who have been working these lands for as long as we can remember. Puri is a busy place for tourists, but out in the farming areas, it is all about the rhythm of the seasons and the crops. We decided to register as a company because it makes the paperwork easier when we sell our produce to the bigger vendors. We do not have a big staff of employees. It is mostly just us and our families helping out. We meet up at Dibakar's place to talk about what is happening in the fields. Sometimes we talk about the weather for hours because it is so important to us. It is just how it is here. We do not use a lot of big business talk or fancy words. We just want to make sure we can buy what we need for the farms and sell what we grow for a decent price that covers our costs. It is tough work, and the sun is very hot, but we are used to it. We share what we know about the insects or the new seeds. It is a community thing more than a business thing. We just want to keep things going for our kids.
