Venkatesh Foods

Venkatesh Foods is located down on Magadi Road 104 in Vadgoensheri. It’s a plain building, nothing that stands out really, and we like it that way. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. The space inside is mostly taken up by storage racks and a few tables where we sort through everything. There’s a small window that looks out onto the road, but it’s usually too dusty to see much through it. We handle a variety of food items, mostly things that people use in their kitchens every day. The staff is small, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We don’t have fancy titles or a big office setup. Usually, we are just wearing our regular clothes and moving boxes around. The morning starts with unloading the van, which can be a pain if the driver gets stuck in the Vadgoensheri traffic. We spend our afternoons checking the stock levels and making sure nothing is sitting for too long. Lunch is usually shared on one of the packing tables, and we talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The roof leaks a tiny bit in the far corner during the monsoon, so we have to remember to move the bags away from there. It’s just a normal day-to-day life here, keeping things moving and staying on top of the orders.
