Vasundhara Outdoors

Down here in Karve Nagar, specifically at 26th Main and 32nd Cross in the 4th Block, is where you’ll find Vasundhara Outdoors. Our office is more like a storage room sometimes because of all the gear and stuff we keep around. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main city center, which we actually prefer. We aren't much for big shiny offices anyway. Most of our day is spent looking at maps or talking to people who want to go out trekking or camping. We write a lot of lists. Lists for supplies, lists for transport, and lists for people's names. It’s a lot of paper moving around. Sometimes the light in the back office flickers and we keep saying we’ll fix it, but we never do. We’ve been here in this part of Karve Nagar for a while, and people in the neighborhood know us as the ones who are always packing bags. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; whoever is closest to the door just gets up and says hello. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it feels right for what we do. We’re usually just trying to make sure that when someone goes out into the woods, they actually have a place to sleep. It’s practical work and we just take it one day at a time.
