We operate out of the first floor of the Matoshri Building. It’s right there in Kashinath Patil Nagar, not far from Vishal Lodge in Dhankawadi. If you walk up the stairs at No. 20/2, you’ll usually smell what we’re doing before you see us. We work with spices. It’s a lot of grinding, mixing, and packing. The air gets heavy with the scent of turmeric and chili, which makes us sneeze sometimes, but we’re used to it. It’s a small operation. We don’t have a big factory line; it’s more about the hands-on work. We source the raw stuff and make sure it’s cleaned properly before it goes into the machines. My family has been around the food business for a while, and this felt like a good way to stay busy. We sell to local shops and sometimes directly to neighbors who stop by. The space isn’t huge, but we make it work. We spend our mornings checking the quality of the batches and our afternoons sealing bags. It gets loud when the grinders are running, so we usually talk in shouts during those hours. People know us in Dhankawadi as the place to get fresh masalas that haven't been sitting on a shelf for a year. We don't use fancy labels or high-end marketing. We just put the spice in the bag and sell it for a fair price. It's just a regular local business run by people who know their spices.
