Sai Foods

Working at Sai Foods means being at the Yashnagar Industrial Estate in Vadgaon. Our unit is at Sr. No. 25/1. It’s an industrial area, so it’s mostly warehouses and small factories around us. We’ve been here in Pune for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We get in early to start the machines and get the food production going. It’s a lot of physical work, but we’re used to it. The smell of whatever we’re making that day usually fills up the space, which isn’t so bad. We aren't a massive factory, just a decent-sized setup with a few loyal workers. Most of us have been working together for years, so it’s a comfortable atmosphere. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the quality is okay and that the bags are packed right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we all have to sit outside and wait, which gives us a chance to catch up. It’s a very practical way of living. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. People find out about us mostly by word of mouth or seeing our trucks. It’s just how things work in this part of Vadgaon. We keep our heads down and focus on the daily output without much complaining.
