Travels 24

Being in Vishrantwadi means there is always something happening outside. Our small spot here is easy to find if you know the area. It is basically just a room with a few desks and a lot of phone chargers plugged in everywhere. The floor is a bit scuffed from people coming in and out all day. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to people about their trips or trying to figure out why a bus is late. It gets a bit chaotic when three people call at once and someone is standing at the door waiting. 41369 is a busy part of town and the noise from the main road never really stops. We have an old clock on the wall that is five minutes fast, but nobody bothers to fix it. It helps us stay ahead of things, I guess. The light in the back flickers sometimes if the monsoon is heavy. We usually have some biscuits in the drawer for when lunch gets delayed because of work. Most of the people who come here are from around the neighborhood. They know us by name and we know where they usually like to go. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the glass. It is a simple setup but it works for what we do. The computer screens are always dusty no matter how much we wipe them. That is just how life is in a place like this.
