Sweet Chariot Cafe

Out here in Hadapsar on Magadi Main Road 3, the pace of life feels a bit different. Sweet Chariot Cafe is right on the main stretch, so we get a lot of people passing through who are just looking for a place to rest their legs for a bit. It’s a simple setup with a few glass cases for the food and some tables that we try to keep level on the uneven floor. We have a regular routine of checking the stock and wiping down the counters every few hours. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so it can get a bit warm inside if the fan isn't blowing just right. We’ve had some of the same customers coming in for years, and we know exactly what they’re going to order before they even open their mouths. It’s funny how people are creatures of habit like that. The kitchen area is small, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other when things get busy. We keep a radio playing in the corner, though half the time it’s just static because the reception isn’t great in this building. Sometimes the delivery bikes for the other shops block our entrance, and we have to go out and ask them to move. It’s just part of the daily grind on a busy road like Magadi. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the coffee warm and the snacks fresh.
