Our office is Flat No. 11 in Shreenivas Nagar, which is part of the Mahatma Society in Kothrud. If you are looking for us in Pune, we are quite near Gandhi Bhavan. It is a relatively quiet residential area, which is nice because it helps us focus on the technical consulting work we do. We have been in this flat for several years now. It feels more like a home than a stiff office. There are desks squeezed into the rooms and we have got shelves full of old files and project reports. Spectral Services is basically a group of people who like solving problems and looking at data. We spend our mornings going through emails and our afternoons in meetings or working on spreadsheets. Being in Kothrud means we have good local places to grab lunch, and the atmosphere in Mahatma Society is pretty relaxed. We do not have a big receptionist or a lobby with a fountain. You just ring the bell and come in. Sometimes we are all wearing sweaters because the office gets a bit chilly in the winter. We deal with various consultants and companies, mostly talking about technical details that would bore most people. It is hard work and it requires a lot of attention to detail. We just try to provide honest advice and get our reports out on time. It is a small, dedicated team and we have gotten used to the quirks of working in an apartment-style office.
