Decent Decor

Decent Decor is located on Moledina Road at S 65. It is an older part of the city, and the building we are in has that solid, heavy feel to it. We deal with all kinds of things to make houses look a bit better, like curtains or various fabrics and bits of hardware. The shop isn't laid out like those modern showrooms you see in the malls. It’s a bit more crowded than that, with rolls of material and samples tucked into almost every corner we have. We spend our days measuring things out and showing different options to whoever wanders in from the street. Moledina Road is always full of energy, and we get a good mix of people looking for something specific or just browsing. Sometimes the lighting in the back isn't the best, so we have to take the fabric out to the front door to show the real color in the sunlight. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find anything in the store, though it might look like a mess to someone else. It is just me and one helper most of the time. We aren't interested in being the biggest store in town, we just want to do a decent job for the people who live nearby. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around, but we enjoy the work and the people we meet. It stays interesting every single day.
