HMC Traders

HMC Traders is located in the Old Bazar area of Mangalwar Peth, specifically at Shop No 96. Being in the old market means it's always loud and there’s always a lot of movement. We deal in various goods, mostly trading items that people need for their homes or small businesses. The shop is filled with boxes stacked nearly to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze back there. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to move everything out of the way to do it. We open up early in the morning when the market starts to wake up. Dealing with suppliers and transport is most of what we do. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of Mangalwar Peth, which delays everything. It’s just part of being in this part of town. We keep a ledger on the desk to track what goes in and out. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory. If someone asks for something specific, we usually know exactly which pile it's buried under. It’s a lot of lifting and moving crates. By the end of the day, we're usually pretty tired, but we come back and do it again.
