Jintikar Brothers

Our shop, Jintikar Brothers, is tucked away in Budhwar Peth, right near Phadke Haud. If you know this area, you know it's always crowded and full of life at all hours. We've been at number 760 for a really long time. It’s a family thing, passed down through the years from the older generation. The space is old and has that specific smell of metal and age that you can't get rid of. We don't have any fancy signs or a big storefront to show off. People usually find us because they've been coming here for decades or their fathers used to. We handle all sorts of small engineering and repair tasks that people bring in. It gets cramped inside with all the tools and materials piled up on the shelves, but we know where everything is. The traffic outside is constant and loud, but once you step inside, it's just about the work. We drink a lot of tea while we figure out how to fix something that seems broken for good. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Pune, just a reliable place where people can come. It’s a bit messy and the walls could definitely use some paint, but the machines work just fine. That’s what matters at the end of the day. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in through the door.
