Soham Marriage Registration

Our office is at Bhosale Nagar 50. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to the main roads. We mostly handle marriage registration work. People come in with their folders full of documents and they look a bit stressed. We just sit them down and go through the forms one by one. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in these things. We have a big cupboard full of files from years ago. The printer is always running out of ink at the wrong time. We spend a lot of time explaining which box goes where and why they need another photo. It’s not very exciting work, but someone has to do it. We go to the government offices quite a bit to submit the papers. That involves a lot of waiting around in hallways. Sometimes the officers are busy and we have to go back the next day. We’ve got a routine now. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy in the office during the afternoons. There’s a small window that looks out onto the street, but there’s not much to see. Just cars and the occasional person walking their dog. We like the neighborhood though. It’s peaceful. We keep the desk organized as much as we can, but by the end of the day, there are scraps of paper everywhere. It’s just a small local business trying to keep up with the rules. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy outside.
