Our office is on the third floor of Pancharatna Heidths, which is Plot No. 19 in Danakwadi. We’re right on the Pune-Satara Road. It’s a noisy part of town with all the trucks and cars heading out, but once you get up to our floor, it’s a bit more peaceful. Sunil Sirodkar is usually here keeping an eye on things. We have a small group of design engineers working at Softtech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. The office itself is mostly just desks covered in drawings and computer monitors. We’ve got some filing cabinets that are overstuffed with old project files, and the chairs aren't the most ergonomic things in the world. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and arguing over technical designs. There’s a small balcony where you can look out at the traffic on the Satara road when you need a break from the screen. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist greeting people at the door. If you come by, you’ll probably just see someone busy at their desk. It’s a very practical workspace. We’ve been at this Danakwadi location for quite a while, so we know the local shops pretty well. It's a decent place for a small engineering firm to operate from. We don't worry much about looking corporate. We just want to get the designs done and move on to the next task. It feels very much like a local Pune business.
