Being based in Pune, especially in the 411013 area, means you are always in the middle of something. Our place at Neilsoft Linited is pretty straightforward. We don’t go in for all that corporate talk about being the best or changing the world. We just show up in the morning, find a parking spot for the bikes, and get to it. The traffic in Pune has definitely gotten worse over the years, so half the morning conversation is just about which route was the least clogged. The office is functional. It has chairs, desks, and a lot of wires tucked away in corners. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and it’s a good way to gauge the weather before heading out for lunch. There is a small bakery nearby that smells like fresh bread every afternoon, which is probably the highlight of the day for most of us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy lobby art or expensive furniture. It’s just a place where we sit and handle the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we all just sit around and talk until it comes back on. It is a very human way of doing things. We know each other's families and what everyone likes to eat. It makes the day go by a bit easier when you’re working with people you actually know.
