Singh Firewood

We spend most of our time out at Gat No 166 on Talawade Road. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for us, it’s just where we work every day in Sayog Nagar. We are located in Triveni Nagar, right behind the Gagangiri Maharaj Mandir. It’s a quiet enough area, except for when the trucks come in or when there are temple activities going on. Our days are mostly filled with wood, dust, and the smell of logs. It’s physical work and it can get quite hot in the afternoons under the sun. We don’t have a fancy glass office or anything like that. It’s a yard where things get done. We handle the firewood, sort through the piles, and make sure everything is where it needs to be for the customers who come by. Sometimes we just sit on the wooden blocks during our breaks and have some tea. It's not a complicated life. We know the neighbors around here and the local dogs usually hang out near the gate. People usually find us because of the temple landmark. We keep our tools handy and just work through the orders as they come. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. The ground is often dusty, and our clothes usually show the work we've done by the end of the shift. That's just how it is at the yard and it suits us fine.
