The warehouse is over at Bibwewadi Bodakdev Cross Road, unit C/420. We keep all the poles, fabric, and speakers stacked up there. Most of our work happens on weekends when people have weddings or local festivals. It takes a lot of heavy lifting to set up a mandap. We load the truck early in the morning and head out. Sometimes the fabric gets dusty or a wire for the speakers goes bad, so we spend time fixing those things in the shop during the week. It isn't a glamorous job. You spend a lot of time on ladders or untangling cables. My cousin helps me out most days. We started doing sound because we liked the music at events, and then we added the mandap stuff because people asked for it. It makes sense to provide both. We don't have a fancy office to show you brochures. Usually, we just talk to people on the phone or meet them at the site to see how much space there is. The speakers are loud and they work. The tents keep the sun off. That is really all people are looking for. We try to be on time, but traffic around here is usually a mess. When the event is over, we pack everything back into the truck and bring it back to C/420. It's tiring but it keeps us busy.
