Our shop, Shree Ganesh Decorator & Phetewale, is at 456 Nigade Wada on Shivaji Road. If you know where the Mamledar Kacheri or Vanraj Mandal is, you can find us easily enough. We are right in the heart of Shukrawar Peth. This is an old part of the city and our place has that old-school feel to it that you don't see much anymore. We specialize in decorations and the traditional phetas that people wear for weddings and festivals around here. It’s a lot of handiwork and standing around on our feet for hours. The wada has a lot of character, though it can be a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in for the wedding season. Shivaji Road is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so there’s never a quiet moment outside our front door. We’ve been doing this for a long time, helping families get ready for their big celebrations. Tying a pheta perfectly takes a lot of practice, and we’ve done thousands of them over the years. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a marketing team; most people just walk in because they saw our sign or their cousin told them about us years ago. We just keep things traditional and do the work the way it’s supposed to be done. It’s a bit dusty and crowded sometimes, but that’s just how a real workshop in Shukrawar Peth is. We wouldn't want it any other way.
