Shidhivinayak Pan Center

We are located over at Shidhivinayak Pan Center in Viman Nagar, specifically near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Pakhowal Road. It’s a busy intersection and there is always something going on outside. The shop is small and the walls are covered with shelves holding different types of tobacco, supari, and little packets. We have a small sink in the back where we wash our hands constantly because the lime and the juices from the leaves get everywhere. The counter is where everything happens. We have the leaves laid out on a wet cloth to keep them from drying out in the heat. Viman Nagar gets really crowded in the evenings, so that’s when we are the busiest. We don’t have much room to move around behind the counter, so we have to stay organized. The light inside is a bit dim, but we know where everything is even without looking. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to hang out and talk for a few minutes. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a place that people can rely on when they’re walking down Pakhowal Road. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving, but it’s still pretty warm. We just take the orders as they come and try to keep the regulars happy with their usual stuff. We have a calendar on the wall from last year that we haven't bothered to change yet.
