Sheetal Electricals

Sheetal Electricals is out here in the GIDC area on Makarpura Road in Baroda. Our specific spot is Ghorpade Peth, and the number is 281. Since we are in an industrial zone, there is always the sound of machinery and big vehicles nearby. It’s a very practical place to work. We have all sorts of electrical parts and wires scattered around the shop. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives. We spend a lot of our time looking for specific small parts in those little plastic bins. The walls are lined with boxes of switches and cables. It’s not the kind of place where you come to browse; you usually come here because you need something specific for a repair. We’ve been in Baroda for a long time now. The sun really beats down on this part of the road in the afternoons. We have a small metal desk where we handle the bills and take phone calls. Sometimes the phone rings all day and other times it is quiet for hours. We just take it as it comes. The people who work in the other units nearby often stop in for a quick word. It’s a community of sorts out here in the GIDC. We just keep the doors open and do our bit. There is always something to be fixed or sorted. That is just how it is at 281.
