Our little spot is right on Senapati Bapat Road in the Unnatinagar area. It’s a very crowded street, so there is always the sound of horns and people walking past our window. The shop is not huge, but we make sure every bit of shelf space is used for something. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage just fine. We have a small fan behind the counter that makes a clicking noise, which we have just gotten used to over the years. The floor is a bit worn down in the spots where people stand the most. We see a lot of the same faces every day, neighbors mostly, who just stop in to grab what they need or to say a quick hello. It isn't a place with bright neon lights or anything like that. We just keep the doors open and try to stay on top of the stock. Usually, one of us is busy unpacking a box or writing things down in a ledger book. Life on SB Road moves fast, but inside here, things feel a little more steady. We have a small stool in the back for when our legs get tired. It’s just a practical, everyday kind of business where we do our thing and go home when the sun goes down. We just keep it simple and handle whatever comes our way.
