You have to climb up to the second floor of Alankar Apartment to find us. We’re in room number four, right there in Neta Wadi. It’s a bit of a climb, especially when we’re carrying bundles of prints or boards. We are right opposite the Sakal office, so there’s always something happening in the street. Shivaji Nagar is a lively place to be. Inside, we have a couple of computers and a lot of samples pinned to the walls. We do a lot of the local posters and small ads you see around. It’s a lot of back and forth with the printers to make sure the colors look right. We aren't a big agency with lots of staff. It’s just a few of us doing the layouts and talking to clients. The office is a bit cramped because of all the paper we store. We have an old sofa for visitors, but it usually has a stack of flyers sitting on it. We work mostly with small businesses in the area who need a bit of help getting their name out. It’s busy work and we often stay late to finish a design. We don’t have fancy coffee, just the stuff from the stall downstairs. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, making sure the signs look decent and the text is readable. We try to keep the 1st Main street clear when we unload.
