I started here at Mahakali Caves Road 7 quite a while back. Koregaon Park is a busy place, but our little corner is where everything happens. We spend most days on the phone or looking at floor plans for different parties. It isn't always glamorous work. Sometimes we are just untangling cables or trying to find where a missing box went. There are four of us in the office usually. We share a few desks and there’s always someone coming in with news about a new venue. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just boxes and samples of fabric everywhere you look. If you come by, you’ll probably see us arguing over which color looks better under yellow lights. It’s been a long journey from when we first started out. We just like making sure things go where they are supposed to go. Most of our weekends are spent on-site, making sure the stages are straight. We know this area well, and the local vendors around here are people we’ve worked with for years. It’s a lot of physical labor that people don't see, like moving heavy stuff around in the heat. But when the lights go on and everything is set, it feels like we did something right. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day. It’s a job, but it’s our job. We like it.
