Sagaon Energy Equipment Pvt. Ltd. is located at number 1, Chandangad Apartments, over in the Kothrud area. It’s actually an apartment that we’ve turned into our workspace, which makes it feel a lot more like a home than a regular office. We have our desks set up in the main rooms, and the kitchen is where we keep all the files and the water filter. Kothrud is a nice part of Pune with a lot of trees, so the view from the balcony is actually quite good. We spend most of our time working on technical drawings and looking over specifications for energy projects. It’s quiet enough here that we can actually get some thinking done without too much noise from the street. There are always rolls of blueprints leaning against the walls and books on engineering piled up on the shelves. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy reception area. If someone visits, they just ring the doorbell like at any other flat. It’s just a handful of us working here, so we don't have many formal rules. We usually just have our tea together and talk about whatever projects are on the table. The furniture is a mix of stuff we’ve gathered over the years, nothing matches perfectly but it works for us. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do.
