Sab Food

We are set up in Wakad, specifically on Andrahalli Main Road at 19/5. It’s a busy place to be with all the construction and new apartments going up nearby. Our kitchen isn't very large, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. We spend a lot of time over the stove, and the heat can get quite intense during the middle of the day. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of fans that move the hot air around. We mostly focus on getting the food out to people who are in a hurry. You’ll often find us packing boxes or stacking plates in the back. The staff is just a small group of us who have worked together for a while now. We don't bother with fancy uniforms; we just wear what is comfortable for a long day of standing. The street outside is always dusty, so we are constantly dusting off the front counter. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We see a lot of people who are new to the area, moving into the nearby flats. It’s interesting to see how Wakad is changing while we just keep doing the same thing every day. We close up once the last of the food is gone, usually tired but ready to come back tomorrow. It's just simple, daily work for us.
