Ritz Chocolates

We are located in Florida Estate Building, specifically in Flat 401 on the fourth floor of A/12. It’s a bit different running a chocolate business out of a residential building in Keshav Nagar, but we make it work for us. Hadapsar is a busy area, but once you get up to the fourth floor, things quiet down quite a bit. We spend most of our mornings getting the mixtures ready and setting the molds. The kitchen usually smells pretty strong, which the neighbors sometimes mention when we see them at the elevator. We don’t have a big storefront with glass windows or neon signs. It’s mostly just us working through the orders we get and making sure everything is packed into boxes correctly. We have a few tables set up where we do the wrapping. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding the right building in the estate because there are so many of them, so we end up going down to meet them. It is a lot of manual work, melting things down and waiting for them to cool. We don't use big industrial machines, just what fits in our space. Our days are pretty repetitive, but we like the pace of it. We keep our supplies in the corner and try to stay organized so we don't trip over things. It’s just a small operation run by a couple of us here in the flat and we just take it one day at a time.
