Rama Mandap & Decorators

Rama Mandap & Decorators is based in Vishrantwadi, over on S V Road, house number 51 138. If you know the area, it’s not too hard to find us. We spend a lot of our time out of the office because the nature of the work involves moving heavy stuff around. Our space is mostly full of bamboo poles, folded-up tents, and stacks of chairs that need to be cleaned constantly. The chairs are plastic and we have to stack them high, which is a bit of a workout. It gets pretty dusty in the warehouse area, especially when we’re loading the trucks early in the morning. The guys are usually tired after a long night of setting up for an event, so the office can be a bit quiet during the middle of the day. There isn't much in the way of decoration in our own shop, which is kind of funny given what we do. It’s more of a functional place to store the gear and take phone calls. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s silent. We’ve got some old photos of previous setups pinned to a board, but they’re a bit faded now. The S V Road traffic can make it a pain to park outside, so we usually tell people to just pull up quickly. It’s a lot of physical labor and sweating in the sun, but that’s just how it goes for us.
