Rakesh Varities

Rakesh Varities is tucked away at Shop No 2 on Nehru Nagar Isanpur Vatva Road. We sell a bit of everything, which is why we picked the name. It’s not a huge space, but we try to fit as many items as we can on the shelves. Sometimes you have to look twice to find what you need because there is so much packed in. Being on Isanpur Vatva Road means we see a lot of locals walking by. We know many of the faces around here. It’s not like those big supermarkets where nobody knows your name. We’re just regular people trying to run a business in Nehru Nagar. If the shop looks a bit cluttered, it’s because we just got a delivery or we’re moving things around. We don’t have a fancy interior designer. Everything you see, we put up ourselves. Usually, one of us is sitting behind the counter reading the news when it's quiet. Shop No 2 has been our base for a while now. We’ve had some hot days and some rainy ones where the water almost comes in the door, but we manage. People drop in for small things they forgot to buy elsewhere. We don't do much talking unless someone asks a question. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We open early and stay until the street quietens down. That’s just the way things work at Rakesh Varities. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just useful to the folks nearby.
