Pratham Om Flower Decorators

Dapodi is where we set up our shop, right at Guru Krupa on the Sheshadripuram College Road. Pratham Om Flower Decorators is a small place but we keep very busy throughout the year. Most of our mornings start well before the sun comes up because that is when the fresh flowers arrive. The whole place smells like roses and jasmine for a few hours. We don't have a fancy storefront with neon lights. It’s just a simple space with buckets of water and lots of stems on the floor. Students from the nearby college often walk past while we are sorting through the blooms. We don't have a big corporate strategy. We just take orders and figure out how to put things together so they look decent for the event. Sometimes we are out at a venue all night setting things up, and other times we are just here at the shop cleaning up leaves. It is a messy job with wet floors and thorns, but we have been doing it for a long time. People around Dapodi know us because we’ve been at this address for years. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with what we have and try to make sure everything is ready on time. It is a very practical, hands-on kind of life here on the road.
