Pepinos

Pepinos is right on Fergusson College Road. Most people just call it FC Road. We are in the Narhari building, Sr No 1229/A, right next to Sagar Arcade. If you’ve spent any time in Deccan Gymkhana, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. This area is always buzzing with students from the college and people looking for a bit of shopping. Our place isn't very large, but we make it work. The street noise is part of the atmosphere here in Pune. You get used to the honking and the shouting after a week or two. We don't have any fancy titles for the staff. We all just help out where it’s needed. Sometimes the rain gets a bit heavy and we have to move the tables away from the entrance, but that’s just monsoon season for you. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on FC Road, but we’ve managed to stay put. It’s a lot of work keeping everything running, especially with the costs going up all the time. We don't do anything flashy. It's just a spot to grab something to eat while you're out in Deccan. We keep the lights on late because this part of town doesn't really sleep early. It’s a practical shop. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place on a busy street. It is just a part of the local daily life here.
