New Atithi Snacks

New Atithi Snacks is located at Govind Karman Chawl 5 in Kothrud. Living and working here is basically the same thing for us. The chawl is always loud with kids playing outside or neighbors talking across the hallways. We are at number 5 and it is a pretty tight space, but we make it work somehow. Most of our customers are just people living nearby or folks walking through Kothrud to get to the station. We start very early because people want their snacks before they head out for the day. The smell of oil and spices is always in the air here. We don’t have a big menu or anything complicated. Just the things we know how to make well. New Atithi Snacks is what it says on the small board outside, even if the paint is peeling a bit now. Kothrud has gotten so crowded lately and the traffic on the main road is always a mess. Inside the chawl area, it’s a bit different and you have to watch where you step. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people while they eat their food. It’s not a corporate office. Sometimes the stove acts up and we have to fix it ourselves without calling anyone. It’s a simple life. We make snacks, people eat them, and then they go to work. We stay here at Govind Karman Chawl 5 and do it all again.
