Millennium Events

Our office is up on the fourth floor, room 401, right on the corner where Dehu Alandi Road meets the East Street area in Camp. It’s a busy spot with a lot of noise from the street. If you’ve ever tried to park near here, you know it’s a bit of a nightmare during the day. We’ve been coordinating things from this space for a good bit of time. Planning events isn't as glamorous as people think. It’s mostly phone calls, spreadsheets, and dealing with people who are stressed out. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and checking on equipment. The office is usually full of boxes or random decorations waiting to be moved to a site. It gets pretty loud when everyone is on the phone at once. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just desks, computers, and a lot of tea. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our window. There are more shops now than when we first got the keys. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big date is coming up. We just try to keep things organized so nothing gets forgotten. It's hard work and the hours are weird, but it's what we do here in Camp. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. It keeps us moving. We’re just a small crew making things happen.
