Mealnut Foods Pvt Ltd

Over at the Kothrud Camp Cantonment area, we run Mealnut Foods Pvt Ltd. We focus on getting food ready and sent out, so it’s more of a production space than a place where you sit down and eat. The kitchen stays busy from early morning until late. We deal with a lot of different ingredients every day, mostly grains and nuts, hence the name. It’s a bit of a hectic environment with all the packing and sorting going on. We aren't some giant corporation with fancy offices. Our office is just a desk in the corner of the warehouse. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and making sure the bags are sealed right. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers from the local neighborhood. The trucks come and go all day, taking our stuff to different shops around the area. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it ourselves. It’s a lot of manual labor, and we often go home with flour on our clothes at the end of the shift. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and food seemed like a good way to do that. It’s not always easy, especially when prices for raw materials go up suddenly. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a plain, honest business in a busy part of town.
