Mangesh Sound Service

If you go to Gultekdi, specifically over at Camps Corner near Fateganj, you might find us. Mangesh Sound Service is located at House No 280, in Chawl No 34. It’s not a big shop at all. In fact, it is mostly filled with speakers, long coils of black wire, and various amplifiers stacked on top of each other. We spend a lot of time testing the equipment to make sure nothing is buzzing. The chawl is a close-knit place, and everyone knows what we do because they can usually hear us testing the bass. We don’t have a fancy soundboard or a studio. It’s just us and our tools. Most days involve lifting heavy boxes and checking connections. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years. When there is a local festival, we are usually busy from morning till night. We don’t really use a computer for much; we just know which wire goes where by looking at it. It can get a bit cramped in the room with all the gear, but we make it work. Sometimes we sit outside and talk to the neighbors while we wait for a delivery. It’s a simple life. We just provide the sound and make sure the power doesn't go out. There’s no big mission here, just making sure the music can be heard when it needs to be.
