Management Consultant

Our office is tucked away in Kothrud, over at New Ajanta Avenue. It's on the first floor, 14/A1/4 to be exact, just off Paud Road. If you know Pune, you know how that area can get with traffic, but we like being here. It’s a pretty standard setup where we look at businesses and try to figure out where they are going wrong. There are always piles of papers on the desks and the printer usually makes a weird noise every time we use it, which is annoying. We aren't a big firm with glass walls or anything. It’s just us sitting around talking through problems and looking at spreadsheets for hours. Management consulting sounds like a fancy title but mostly it’s just a lot of thinking and writing things down in notebooks. We drink a lot of coffee from the place around the corner. Sometimes clients come over, and we have to clear a spot for them to sit because there is so much junk. Maharashtra State has so many small businesses, and we end up talking to all sorts of people. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now, and the routine of the morning commute is just part of the job. We don’t really do anything flashy. It's just about getting the work done and helping people sort out their office issues. Most days end late, especially when there’s a big project. We just keep at it and hope the advice we give actually helps them.
