Mahalaxmi Caterers is based in Sukh Sagar Nagar within the Sai Nagar area of Kondhwa. This part of Kondhwa is a bit further up, and it has its own distinct feel compared to the lower parts of the suburb. We have been operating from this location for several years now. The terrain around Sukh Sagar Nagar is a bit hilly, so we’ve gotten used to the slopes when we’re transporting heavy equipment. Our setup in Sai Nagar is straightforward. We have a dedicated area for the heavy cooking and a smaller space for the packing and cleaning. It’s a busy environment, especially during the festival months when everyone seems to want something at the same time. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Instead, we have big ceiling fans and open doors to keep the air moving while the stoves are on. The staff is mostly people from nearby who have been with us for a long time. We handle everything ourselves, from picking out the vegetables at the market to making sure the containers are loaded correctly. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours on our feet, but we’re used to it. The neighborhood is quiet enough at night, but during the day, it’s a hub of activity. We just focus on the daily grind and making sure the kitchen runs smoothly without any major hiccups.
