We have our shop at the Gram Panchayat Shopping Centre in Bhose Village. It is Shop No 3, and we are right on the main Mahabaleshwar Road. If you are driving up towards the hill station from Satara, you probably pass us without even thinking about it. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We deal with all sorts of food supplies and local products. The shop is pretty basic, with sturdy shelves and a heavy counter for weighing things out. We get a lot of local farmers coming in, and also some tourists who stop to grab something for their trip up the mountain. The Satara district has some great produce, and we try to keep a good stock of what people actually need every day. It is a simple building, part of the local government shopping complex, so everyone in Bhose knows where it is. Sometimes we just sit outside on the bench when business is slow and watch the cars go by towards Mahabaleshwar. It is not a fancy supermarket with bright lights; we have a few tube lights and a door that we prop open with a brick to let the breeze in. We have been here for a while, and we are just happy to be part of the village life. We do not have a fancy logo or big signs, just our name on the board and the smell of spices inside.
