Lotus Khakara

We make khakara here at Lotus Khakara. Our place is tucked away in Shukrawar Peth, right by the Ganesh Pet area. It is an old part of town and it stays very busy with narrow lanes and lots of people moving about. You can usually smell what we are making before you even see the door. We spend most of our day preparing the dough and getting everything ready for the ovens. It is a lot of manual work and your hands get tired. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us in the back getting things done as best as we can. The neighborhood is full of small businesses just like ours. We have been in Shukrawar Peth for a long time. People around here know us as the local spot for their daily snacks. We aren't trying to be some massive international brand or anything. We just like making food that people enjoy eating with their tea. The workspace is a bit cramped sometimes, especially when we have a lot of supplies delivered, but we make it work. Every morning starts the same way. We get the heat going and start the process early. It is a simple life for us. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it is humid, but we stick to the routine. We don't really change much. If you come by Ganesh Pet, you will find us easily. It is just a small local operation.
