Kwality Caterers

Kwality Caterers is located at A/11 Royal Court, which is right opposite the Jamma Masjid in Kondhwa Khurd. Being across from the masjid means our days are marked by the regular calls to prayer, which gives a nice rhythm to the work. Royal Court is a busy building, and our unit A/11 is always hummimg with some kind of activity. Kondhwa Khurd is a very dense, lively neighborhood with lots of food stalls and small businesses everywhere. The traffic on the main road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we’ve learned when to move our vans to avoid the worst of it. Our kitchen space is packed with all sorts of equipment, from giant steamers to small spice grinders. We don’t have a big staff of corporate managers; it’s just us and the cooks getting things done. The air around our unit usually smells like fried onions or boiling milk. It’s a very hands-on environment. Sometimes the narrow corridors of the building make it hard to move large items, but we make it work. We’ve been in Kondhwa long enough to know the local suppliers by name. We don’t put on any acts here. If the floor is wet from being mopped or if there are sacks of flour piled in the corner, that’s just how it is. We are here to work and stay part of the community.
