Kanhaiya Caterers

Kanhaiya Caterers operates out of E 3 102 in Ganga Village Society on Handewadi Road. Working inside a residential society like Ganga Village has its own rhythm. We have to be mindful of the neighbors when we are moving big crates of vegetables or equipment through the gates. The security guards know us pretty well by now since we are always coming and going. Handewadi Road has become so much busier lately, it feels like there is a new shop opening every week. Our place is basically a mix of a home and a workspace. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s more like a busy household that produces a lot of food. We have our big burners set up and the counters are usually covered with whatever we are prepping for the next event. On weekends, the whole place feels a bit squeezed because of the extra help we bring in. The kitchen gets hot, and the fans never seem to be fast enough, but that is just part of the business. We usually do our planning at the small dining table when things quiet down in the afternoon. Living and working in the same area means we don't have a commute, which is nice given how the traffic is outside. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the supplies are fresh and the orders are ready to go.
